Make A Difference!

"The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches, but to reveal to him his own."                 - Benjamin Disraeli

Teacher Positions in Tanzania!

Make a difference in the lives of underserved children in Tanzania by teaching at Orkeeswa Secondary School. Experience life in a traditional Maasai community and explore Tanzania.

IEFT has opportunities for Science and English teachers to volunteer at Orkeeswa Secondary School, located in a remote area of East Africa. Click here or email for more information.

How Can I Help?

  • Make a Donation! - Assist IEFT in operating funds to buy needed school supplies or construction materials for our next classroom. IEFT also accepts donations in the form of stocks, airline miles and school and office supplies.

  • Sponsor a Student! - Provide everything a student needs to succeed in the classroom and give a child a chance at a prosperous future.

  • Volunteer! - Do you have classroom experience or an engineering degree? IEFT is looking for volunteers both in Tanzania and domestically in many areas to help grow Orkeeswa Secondary School.

What your donation does for children in rural Tanzania:

$1 = 1 cinder block for the construction of a new classroom
$5 = Malaria medication, saving the life of a student and restoring their health and school attendance
$15 = enough writing utensils for all students for 1 month
$50 = a vehicle to rent for a school field trip
$80 = nutritious lunches for 40 students for an entire week (that's 205 meals!)
$100 = a much-needed bookshelf for organizing reading books in the classroom

"It really is a great school because it provides education to children who do not have parents and do not have the money to pay for school fees at other secondary schools in the area."
