Nearly 97% of rural Tanzanian families are unable to send their children to secondary school due to the high cost of school fees, uniforms and shoes, and school supplies. IEFT aims to provide the eligible indigenous children in Lashaine Village with secondary education at Orkeeswa Secondary School. Our Student Sponsors provide students with all he or she needs to attend school: school fees,  brand new school uniform and shoes, school supplies, dictionaries and reading books, field trip cost and health care at the local clinic.

Sponsors are not only providing students with an education, but also giving them the opportunity to prosper and to become confident and self-reliant individuals, able to affect change within their own community. Sponsoring a student at Orkeeswa Secondary School is $1,200 per year, or $100 per month.



By sponsoring a student, you are providing a Tanzanian child with:

• Tuition- Covers all school fees and assists with local teacher salaries.
   
• School Uniform - Each child in the national Tanzanian School system is required to wear a uniform to class. Putting on that red and blue uniform is the first new clothing most of these students have ever owned.
  
  
• School Supplies - Pens, pencils, paper, textbooks art supplies as well as science and math tools will be provided to students through your donation.
   
• Nutritious Food - The school provides a healthy breakfast and lunch every weekday for its students. For many students, these may be their only meals.

• Health Care - To keep students in class, Orkeeswa keeps a first aid station stocked with needed medical supplies. Sponsorship fees also cover medical costs, should a student need to visit the local health clinic or hospital.

To sponsor a student at Orkeeswa Secondary School:

• FULL Sponsorship - US$1,200 annually; $300 quarterly; $100 monthly. A full sponsorship means the sponsor is the sole sponsor of a student.
