What Volunteers Can Expect from IEFT:
Housing and Living Arrangements
IEFT provides shared room and boarding at the IEFT staff house in the town of Monduli. The staff house has four bedrooms, each one is typically shared by two volunteers. The staff house also includes a guest room, kitchen, washroom (without running water) and an outhouse. Our staff cook and housekeeper handles a portion of the household tasks and the volunteers share the rest. The staff house has access to electricity and limited access to the internet.
Orientation Training
Upon your arrival in Tanzania, local and international staff will help you get adjusted to daily life in rural Tanzania, familiarize you with the area and assist you with getting acclimated to the way of life and local customs. IEFT will provide on-site training to familiarize you with school operations and Tanzanian curriculum.
Travel Assistance & Arrangement
Experience Tanzania’s diverse indigenous cultures and traditions, distinct wildlife and breathtaking scenery! IEFT’s staff can assist in making travel arrangements and finding local, reputable tour operators.
Program Fee
There is no program fee to volunteer with IEFT, however volunteers are required to cover their travel and living expenses. Average volunteer living expenses are US$300 per month and include shared room and board at the IEFT staff house and miscellaneous expenses.

"It really is a great school because it provides education to children who do not have parents and do not have the money to pay for school fees at other secondary schools in the area."
